Cleveland City Dance – Barbara Craig
“Barbara is passionate in her love for dance. For her, dance is “poetry in motion as it is the physical embodiment of internal ideas which can energize, heal, and touch the human spirit.” Despite coming to classical ballet training at the beginning of her high school years, Barbara has excelled in the discipline and has been able to draw upon her extensive artistic background to drive her towards success in ballet. Barbara has been dancing since age 6, when she was introduced to the art through the Dancing Wheels organization, and has been exposed to classical and modern dance technique throughout her youth. Barbara is also well traveled, having been able to gain experience in dance internationally, learning under teachers from Russia, France, and the Czech Republic while studying abroad. She aspires to dance with a contemporary ballet company, and with her passion and artistic sensitivity, she feels she can achieve her goals and dreams in dance.
