2013 – Sydney Chatterton

2013 Winner

Great Lakes Youth Ballet – Sydney Chatterton

Sydney began dancing in 2002 at just 3 years old, with a keen interest in seeing every version of The Nutcracker she could see! Sydney’s passion for dance led her to keep posters from ballet companies in her room and saw her dance around everywhere she went. Her passion and dedication to dance have never wavered, and she has become a well rounded dancer. In 2011, Sydney danced with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and in 2012 she danced with the world-famous Joffrey Ballet, both times appearing in The Nutcracker, her childhood favorite. Currently, she is dancing with Great Lakes Youth Ballet, and is using the scholarship award she received to help continue her pursuit of her passion: ballet.
