The E. John Busser Ballet Scholarship is celebrating its tenth anniversary! We are proud of everything and everyone that has been supportive of us these past years, and are looking forward to continuing onward with our mission for many years to come!
The Local Arts PGH quarterly has posted a wonderful profile on Scholarship winner Diana Yohe, who is currently part of the company with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre.
Check out the interview, including Diana’s thoughts on both the technical and artistic sides of ballet here.
The Scholarship web site has a new look and some great new functionality!
We are now powered by WordPress, a great tool for creating and maintaining websites that are interactive, informative, and insightful. The Scholarship is leveraging this tool to create a more dynamic page that will allow users to interact more with the scholarship.
We also are in the process of launching a new online donation/storefront leveraging the power of Square, a leader in online microtransactions. Square will allow donors to send along a donation and receive an instant receipt that can then be used for tax-deduction purposes. We will also have some scholarship-logoed merchandise available on the storefront, including made-to-print embroidered shirts. More to come when this is live.
Check out the new look to the website, and feel free to leave a comment and let us know what you think!
We are currently testing a new WordPress variant of the web site to make things easier to manager and allow the page to display more effectively.
Check back for updates!
